居住於瑞典海訥桑德（Härnösand）的瓊恩．希爾格倫（Jon Hillgren）19歲高中畢業後，與一群朋友到倫敦旅行，並且在那裡當了六個月調酒師；這段期間讓瓊恩對琴酒產生莫大興趣，四處認識瞭解琴酒。

瓊恩於2011年在距離海訥桑德約十公里距離的達拉鎮（Dala）興建酒廠，隔年五月收到他自德國訂製的250公升阿諾德．荷斯坦蒸餾器（Arnold Holstein Still），取名為「克莉斯汀（Kierstin）」；經過三個半月實驗，終於確定配方。將杜松子與芫荽籽浸泡於自己使用小麥蒸餾的烈酒中18個小時，接著加入瓊恩相當喜愛的繡線菊（Meadowsweet）、瑞典特色越橘（Lingon Berry）、當日現刨新鮮檸檬皮，以及桂皮、黑胡椒、香草進行蒸餾，最後僅以水稀釋（One Shot）。
