James Burrough在1863年以四百英磅買下位在倫敦Cale Street的Chelsea蒸餾酒廠（John Taylor and Sons公司），並更名為自己的名字，發售Beefeater Gin。1897年James Burrough逝世後身為家族第三世代的Eric Burrough進入公司後，從1917年開始大量銷售Beefeater Gin至美國市場。在1970年Eric逝世後，堂兄弟Alan與Norman繼續經營酒廠。1987年十月，當時由Norman Burroug擔任董事長，大多數的家族成員決定將公司販售給Whitbread這家英國大型餐飲集團。Christopher Hayman在1969年起進入公司，並在部門間累積學習各種經驗，在被Whitbread集團併購後，他成為烈酒部份執行經理，負責蘇格蘭酒廠及倫敦的Beefeater酒廠。1988年11月17日重新啟用三條裝瓶產線；之後，Christopher甚至成為南倫敦Thames蒸餾廠的合夥人之一，致力於琴酒蒸餾。Christopher的兒子James在2004年九月加入公司，女兒Miranda則在隔年加入；並在2004年九月同時發表Hayman's 1820 Gin Liqueur，在原有London Dry Gin之外，根據家族配方使用相同的原料，以不同比例在Hayman品牌下研發各類琴酒。

Hayman's Gently Rested Gin：就像19世紀倫敦華麗的杜松子酒宮殿裡的杜松子酒是放在木桶裡，而不是放在瓶子裡一樣，我們的杜松子酒是放在古老的蘇格蘭威士忌酒桶裡，只放三 週。這種與木材的短暫接觸真的能提升植物的味道並增加辣味。
