Caol Ila, pronounced "Cull Ee-la", is a small Islay distillery founded in 1846. Caol Ila is considered to be the lighter, finer and more refined version of Islay single malt whisky. , Caol Ila as its entry-level product in 12 years, initially debuted in the summer of 2002.
Caol Ila 12 Years Old Islay Single Malt Whisky is very refreshing with a sweet fruity flavor and smooth body. This 12-year-old peat whisky cleverly balances the various flavors. The fresh, appetizing aroma shows subtle citrus fruits, with only a bite of smoky flavor. Firm and smooth, this 12-year-old peat whisky starts with a sweet, then produces a fragrant smoky flavor and a sweet smoky flavor, with a long lingering aftertaste.

Nose: Fresh, herbal. Rubbed peppermint leaves, stemmy, damp grass, smoky. Oily, cigar leaves, smoked ham, hickory. Lemon peels at the harbour.
Taste: Good body, oily, tar, elegant smoke.
